FAQ

A Deposit Box is a specially prepared space (drawer) within the Vault that allows you to store particularly valuable items or documents, under constant camera surveillance, with full privacy during the deposit process, and equipped with a range of advanced security measures.

You don’t need to leave your home to reserve a Deposit Box. The reservation process takes just a few simple steps. Go to the “Offer → Rent a Deposit Box” section, fill out the form according to the instructions, and pay for the reservation — or contact us via email or phone.

We will then get in touch with you to schedule a time for signing the agreement and providing access to your Deposit Box. If you need additional information, feel free to contact us. We’re always at your service and ready to answer any questions — and if needed, we’ll help you choose the right box size.

The agreement signing and access to the Deposit Box take place immediately at our office. We reserve the right to refuse to sign a contract with a client without providing a reason for the refusal.

After signing the agreement and all its attachments, you will receive access cards and keys. If you choose additional security features for your Deposit Box, our staff will provide you with all necessary information regarding these safeguards, as well as train you on the procedures in place at the Vault and guide you through the access process for your Deposit Box.

The entire process takes no more than a few minutes.

The entire process — from the moment you enter the facility where the Vault is located, to passing security and accessing your Deposit Box — takes just a few minutes.

The process is fast and simple, so you can enjoy access to your Deposit Box anytime, day or night.

You can store the following items in a Deposit Box:

  • jewelry and other precious items,

  • savings,

  • family and personal keepsakes,

  • documents,

  • collectible items,

  • computer drives, USB flash drives, and other data carriers — both digital and paper,

  • computers,

  • securities,

  • works of art,

  • photographs, films, etc.,

  • coins and numismatics.

The following items may not be stored in a Deposit Box:

  • live or dead animals,

  • explosive, radioactive, flammable, corrosive, toxic, poisonous, self-reactive, flammable solids, self-igniting, oxidizing, infectious, fissile, carcinogenic substances, and any materials posing a threat to life and health,

  • drugs, intoxicants, psychotropic substances, and other types of narcotics,

  • items derived from crimes or intended for committing crimes, as well as items whose possession is prohibited by applicable law,

  • weapons, ammunition, and weapon accessories,

  • items emitting odors, sounds, or subject to spoilage,

  • items weighing more than 25 kg,

  • national currency in legal circulation within the country,

  • food products.

Only you have access to the rented Deposit Box, but you can authorize one person to use the box under the same conditions. Detailed information about appointing an authorized person can be found in the Terms and Conditions.

To rent a Deposit Box, you only need to meet a few basic criteria. You must:

  • be of legal age,

  • have full legal capacity,

  • be a legal entity or a so-called quasi-legal entity registered in the appropriate register.

If you meet these criteria, signing the agreement and gaining access to the Deposit Box is a formality.

Third parties, including our staff, do not have access to your rented Deposit Box. Access is therefore granted only to you and, if applicable, your appointed representative.

If a representative is authorized to use the Deposit Box, they must also meet the criteria above and go through the same verification process as the primary renter.

Access to the interior of the Vault is strictly protected and not available even to our staff.
However, access to your Deposit Box is granted exclusively to you (and, if applicable, your authorized representative).

Extending the agreement is very simple. Just let us know by email that you would like to extend the contract for another period, pay the specified rental fee, and the agreement will be extended.

You can also extend the agreement in person by scheduling an individual appointment with our staff.

A fixed-term agreement ends upon the expiration of the period for which it was signed. However, if you need to terminate the agreement earlier, please contact us. We will arrange a termination date and organize the return of the access cards and keys issued to you.

In the event of the tenant’s death, the Deposit Box will be made available to the legal heirs after we receive a valid court decision confirming the inheritance, a will, or a notarial certificate of succession.

The detailed procedure in the event of the tenant’s death is described in the Terms and Conditions.

Only you or a person authorized by you can open the Deposit Box. Skarbiec Pomorski may open the Deposit Box only in cases specified in the Terms and Conditions or the Agreement. One such case is the failure to pay the rental fee for the Deposit Box, as well as the failure to collect the contents on time.

In the event of non-payment for the Deposit Box rental, our staff will make several attempts to contact the tenant using the phone number and email address provided. If there is no response to the notices, we reserve the right to open the Deposit Box in an emergency. A special protocol will be prepared documenting the opening, and the tenant will have access to it.

It is also important to note that from the moment the Deposit Box is opened, its contents are no longer covered by protection or security. The tenant who fails to collect the deposit in time will also be required to pay a fee for late clearance of the Deposit Box, in accordance with the Price List.
